College Station, TX – Kim English had 21 points to lead four ranked Tigers beat Texas A&M, 62, on Saturday.
Michael Dixon totaled 15 points and six assists for Missouri (25-2, 12-2 Big 12), which has won seven straight and notched its first win in College Station since 2001, snapping a five-game skid.
Marcus Denmon contributed 14 points and six rebounds for the Tigers, while Phil Pressey added 13 points and seven assists.
"This is a really, really good road win for us," said Missouri head coach Frank Haith. "I thought we showed great poise there in the second half, executed extremely well and made some big stops when A&M made their runs. All in all it was just a great road win for us."
Khris Middleton paced the Aggies (13-13, 4-10) with 15 points. Texas A&M has lost five of six. Jordan Green was the only other Texas A&M player to reach double digits in scoring, finishing with 14 points on 6-of-8 shooting.
"I thought we did a pretty good job offensively," said Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy. "I just thought defensively, when it came down to it, we couldn't guard them at the end of the shot clock."
The Aggies jumped out to a 7-2 lead, but trailed by five at 15-10 on an English free throw midway through the opening half.
Another English foul shot put the visitors up 31-24 at the break, but an Elston Turner jumper closed the gap to 34-32 early in the second half.
Denmon nailed a three-pointer to ignite a 22-11 surge that Dixon capped with a jumper, giving Missouri its largest lead at 56-43 with 7:36 remaining.
Texas A&M was within 65-60 after Turner knocked down a trey with 1:22 to play. Pressey then turned the ball over, but the Aggies' David Loubeau was whistled for an offensive foul, and Denmon provided an exclamation point with a shot from beyond the arc.
