SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – Shawnta' Dyer came off the bench to score a career-high 22 points as No. 20 Louisville closed its regular season by beating Seton Hall 63-53 Monday night.
The redshirt freshman made 9 of 10 shots and got 16 of her points in the second half, when the Cardinals (21-8, 10-6 Big East) led by as many as 18 points, 47-29, with 12 minutes remaining. Dyer also had eight rebounds.
Becky Burke added 17 points and Asia Taylor tied a career high with 12 rebounds for Louisville, which has a first-round bye in the Big East tournament.
Jasmine Crew, in her final home game for the Pirates (8-22, 1-15), scored 20 points, including 10 in the final 9:36. Seton Hall got within six points, 59-53, with 52 seconds left after a jumper by Alexis Brown, but Louisville sealed it with four free throws.
Terry Green added 15 points for Seton Hall.
