Niners sign Dahl for 3 years
Santa Clara, CA – The San Francisco 49ers signed free agent safety Steve Dahl to a three-year deal on Saturday.
The 27-year-old totaled 78 tackles and one interception in 16 games for the St. Louis Rams in 2012.
"We are pleased to announce the signing of Craig," said 49ers general manager Trent Baalke. "He is an experienced veteran with excellent intangibles, who has working knowledge of the NFC West."
An undrafted defensive back out of North Dakota State, Dahl broke into the NFL with the Giants in 2007. He has racked up 321 tackles, four interceptions and three sacks in 70 career appearances for New York and St. Louis.
