Newcastle United heads to Old Trafford year wait for a victory at the Theater of Dreams.

The Magpies have not defeated Manchester United away from home in the league since February of 1972, and while the reigning Premiership champions have made slight squad adjustments over the summer break, Newcastle boss Alan Pardew has stressed that they are just as dangerous.

"When you look at the playing staff that Sir Alex has assembled there, it's got such quality," Pardew told the club's website. "They have tweaked their game a little bit, probably because of what happened in the [2011] Champions League final against Barcelona.

"So they are in a little bit of transition, but still a fantastic team who are wanting to close that gap on Manchester City. It will be a highly-motivated Manchester United team."

Newcastle and Manchester United are both 4-1-1 over their last six Premier League fixtures, and both clubs have been foiled by league-leading Manchester City.

The Magpies are coming off of a 3-1 defeat at the hands of the Citizens, while the Red Devils have won three-straight league fixtures by a 1-0 score, edging Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium in their most recent outing.

A win at Old Trafford on Saturday would not only move Manchester United to within two points of the Premiership lead, but would also apply additional pressure to Manchester City ahead of its clash at Liverpool on Sunday.

Liverpool are unbeaten at home so far this season, but have only managed two wins from its six matches at Anfield.

With 34 points through the opening 12 games, Manchester City tops the English Premier League having dropped only two points all season. The Citizens remain the only unbeaten team in England's top flight.

On Saturday, Arsenal, with five-straight wins in the Premiership and a spot in the knockout round of the Champions League already secured, will host Fulham at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners appear to have righted their ship after a slow start to the season, while the Cottagers have struggled of late, dropping three of their last five contests.

Chelsea hosts Wolverhampton on Saturday with the home side reeling after two successive Premier League defeats at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues fell to Arsenal and Liverpool at home to drop to fifth in the table, but should feel confident against Mick McCarthy's men, who have lost their last four away fixtures to slip into an early battle against relegation. Wolves have not defeated Chelsea at Stamford Bridge since 1979.

Tottenham will go for its fifth-straight win on Saturday when it faces West Bromwich at The Hawthorns, and Stoke City will look to snap its four-game losing skid when it hosts Blackburn at the Britannia Stadium.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Sunderland hosts last-place Wigan, Bolton hosts Everton at the Reebok Stadium, and Norwich City hosts QPR in a clash of two newly- promoted sides.

And on Sunday, Aston Villa hopes to close in on a European spot when it faces Swansea City at the Liberty Stadium.
