Raleigh, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - North Carolina State guard Trevor Lacey announced Wednesday that he plans to declare for the 2015 NBA Draft as an early entrant.

Lacey averaged a team-best 15.7 points per game and shot 39.2 percent from 3- point range during his lone season with the Wolfpack. The 6-foot-3 sharp- shooter transferred to N.C. State after two seasons at Alabama, where Lacey averaged 11.3 points, 3.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists as a sophomore in 2012-13.

"I would like to thank the coaching staff, university and fans for a wonderful experience the last two years at NC State, but I'd like to declare for the NBA Draft," Lacey said. "I had a great group of teammates the last two years and they'll always be like brothers to me. This has been the toughest decision of my life but I feel like pursuing this new journey in my basketball career is what is best for me."

A third team All-ACC selection this past season, Lacey helped the Wolfpack reach the Sweet 16 of the 2015 NCAA Tournament as a No. 8 seed. He scored 17 points in N.C. State's upset of top-seeded Villanova in the East Region's third round and had 18 in the team's season-ending loss to Louisville in the regional semifinals.
