Tina Charles dropped 18 points and pulled down nine rebounds, while Asjha Jones scored 18 and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Sun, who snapped a two- game slide. The Sun improved to 17-10 on the season and sit 1 1/2 games behind Indiana for first place in the Eastern Conference.
Angel McCoughtry netted a game-high 22 points and grabbed nine rebounds and Erika de Souza poured in 17 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Dream, who fell to 13-13 on the season.
Connecticut held a three point lead after three quarters and used a 30-point final quarter to pull away and secure the win.
The Sun shot 52.8 percent from the field, while Atlanta shot 42.7 percent.
