Gstaad, Switzerland (SportsNetwork.com) - Juan Monaco and Pablo Andujar will play for the Swiss Open title after both defeated seeded players in the semifinals on Saturday.
Monaco posted a 6-3, 7-6 (7-4) win over seventh-seeded Dutchman Robin Haase on the red clay at Roy Emerson Arena, then Andujar bested fourth-seeded Fernando Verdasco 6-3, 6-7 (2-7), 6-1 in an all-Spanish matchup.
Haase lost in last year's Gstaad final, while Verdasco was the 2011 runner-up at this tournament.
The 30-year-old Monaco reached his first final since losing at Kitzbuhel in July last year. The Argentine has won seven of his eight career titles on clay.
Andujar, 28, is looking to capture a third career title. He prevailed in the 2011 Casablanca final and successfully defended his crown the following year.
Sunday's match will be the first meeting between the two on the ATP World Tour.
The 2014 Swiss Open champ will earn $105,000.
