Coral Gables, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - Alyssa Thomas scored a game-high 18 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as ninth-ranked Maryland cruised to a 67-52 win over Miami-Florida.
Brionna Jones finished with 11 points, Tierney Pfirman scored 10 and Alicia DeVaughn added nine points and 11 boards for the Terrapins (20-4, 8-3 ACC), who have won four straight.
Maryland will travel to No. 3 Duke on Monday.
Adrienne Motley scored 12 points and Maria Brown finished with 11 for the Hurricanes (12-12, 4-7), losers in five of their last six.
The Terps opened the game with a 10-0 run and pushed their lead to 15-4 with just over six minutes played. Miami made it a two-possession game on a pair of Motley free throws at the 9:51 mark, but Maryland made it 21-13 moments later.
Miami scored eight straight to tie things up at 21-21 with 6:35 to play in the first half, but Maryland closed the stanza on a 15-6 run to take a 36-27 lead into the break.
The Terps' lead swelled to 22, 53-31, just before the midway point of the second half and Miami never got closer than 15 the rest of the way.
