Ryne Stanek pitched a gem to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks to a 3-1 victory over the Wichita State Shockers and into the next day of the Manhattan Regional.

Stanek tossed 7 1/3 innings and allowed just a single run on two hits, though he did walk six batters, to get the win for Arkansas (38-21). Tyler Spoon went 2-for-4 with two RBI as one of six players for the Razorbacks with two hits in the contest.

Casey Gillaspie went 1-for-3 with a home run which accounted for all of Wichita State's (39-28) offensive production. A.J. Ladwig allowed three runs, two of which were earned, in six innings to take the loss which knocked the Shockers out of the postseason.

In the winner's bracket the host Kansas State Wildcats were able to post a 7-1 victory over the Bryant Bulldogs to advance to Sunday's regional final.

Jared King was 1-for-4 with a two-run double for the Wildcats (43-17) while Ross Kivett went 2-for-5 with two runs scored and a run driven in. Joe Flattery pitched five innings of one-run ball to pick up the win.

Though he went 0-for-4, John Mullen had the lone RBI in the game for Bryant (45-17-1). The Bulldogs will play in an elimination game against Arkansas earlier in the day on Sunday with the winner facing Kansas State. Bryant beat Arkansas, 4-1, on Friday.
