New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Jason Kidd of the Brooklyn Nets and Dave Joerger of the Memphis Grizzlies have been named the NBA's Coaches of the Month for January.
Kidd's Nets compiled a 10-3 record in January, the best in the Eastern Conference. Brooklyn had two five-game winning streaks and picked up key wins over the Oklahoma City Thunder (Jan. 2) and Miami Heat (Jan. 10).
Joerger led the Grizzlies to a league-best 12-3 record in January. Memphis allowed only three of their 15 opponents to score over 100 points.
