Winnipeg, MB (SportsNetwork.com) - The Winnipeg Jets and Montreal Canadiens completed a three-player trade Sunday, with the Jets landing goaltender Peter Budaj and a minor league forward and the Canadiens adding forward Eric Tangradi.
Budaj served as Montreal's backup goaltender last season and compiled a 10-8-3 record with a 2.51 goals against average and .909 save percentage. The 32- year-old spent the last three seasons in Montreal following a six-year stint in Colorado, where he once won 31 games in the 2006-07 campaign.
For his career, Budaj has gone 124-107-36 with a 2.76 GAA and .903 save percentage.
The Jets also received 22-year-old forward Patrick Holland, who has totaled 16 goals and 29 assists in two seasons in the AHL.
Tangradi, 25, played a career-high 55 games for the Jets last season and collected three goals and three assists. He has played parts of five seasons with the Penguins and Jets and amassed five goals and 10 assists in 136 games.
