(SportsNetwork.com) - The Utah Jazz will try to continue their fine form as the season winds down, starting Wednesday when the Sacramento Kings come to EnergySolutions Arena.

The Jazz have won four of their last five and can maybe take solace knowing they'd be tied for the eighth seed in the Eastern Conference. Geography let them down.

Utah's last victory came over the Kings on Sunday in Sacramento.

Rodney Hood scored 25 points to lead the Jazz to a 101-95 victory. Derrick Favors had 11 points and Rudy Gobert chipped in 10 points and nine rebounds for Utah.

Utah pushed its lead to eight early in the fourth prior to the Kings ripping off seven straight to close within 83-82. The Jazz responded, however, as Hood netted nine consecutive points during a 14-2 burst for a 97-84 lead with 3 1/2 minutes left.

The Jazz bench played a huge role, scoring 42 points, led by 10 from Jeremy Evans.

"We got great contributions off the bench. ... It was neat to see some guys who haven't traditionally played that many minutes get a chance to play and really compete and play hard," said Jazz coach Quin Snyder. "That's what we want."

The Kings snapped a five-game losing streak on Tuesday with a 116-111 home victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Rudy Gay had 33 points, Omri Casspi added 31 and the Kings held on for the win despite not having All-Star DeMarcus Cousins in the lineup, who sat with a sore foot.

Derrick Williams posted 18 points and eight rebounds for the Kings.

Sacramento trailed by eight after the first quarter, but it woke up the rest of the game. The Kings scored 93 points the final three quarters and won that 36-minute stretch by 13.

"I enjoyed the offense a lot after the first quarter," Kings coach George Karl said.

Sim Bhullar made his NBA debut, becoming the first player of Indian descent to play in the NBA. He only logged 16 seconds of action.

The Kings begin a three-game road trip on Wednesday with stops against the Oklahoma City Thunder and Denver Nuggets on the horizon.

The Jazz have won four of the last five meetings with the Kings and four of the past five in Salt Lake City.
