The Toronto Blue Jays announced Tuesday that starting pitcher Josh Johnson is headed back to the disabled list, this time due to a right forearm strain.

Johnson, who had been on the DL earlier this season due to right triceps soreness, is 2-8 with a 6.20 ERA in 16 starts. He lost six consecutive starts until throwing five innings of shutout ball in a victory at Seattle Aug. 6.

The Blue Jays are due to recall right-hander Thad Weber from Triple-A Buffalo to take Johnson's spot on the roster.
