Jacksonville, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Jacksonville Jaguars released defensive end Red Bryant on Thursday.

Bryant, 30, started all 16 games in his only season for the Jaguars, who signed him last March after he was released by the Seattle Seahawks.

He had 23 tackles and one sack for the Jags and has 143 tackles, 4 1/2 sacks and two interceptions in 80 NFL games for Seattle and Jacksonville, including 71 starts.

The Seahawks selected Bryant in the fourth round of the 2008 draft.
