Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Lindsay Allen netted a career-high 28 points and grabbed five rebounds to lead her top-seeded Notre Dame Fighting Irish past the fourth-seeded Stanford Cardinal, 81-60, in the Sweet 16 round of the NCAA Women's Tournament at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

The Fighting Irish (34-2) advance to the Elite Eight round of the tournament to take on second-seeded Baylor in a matchup set to take place Sunday.

Jewell Loyd contributed 21 points and pulled down six rebounds for Notre Dame, while Brianna Turner chipped in 12 points and secured a team-best seven boards. Taya Reimer added another 10 points in the lopsided win for the Irish.

Bonnie Samuelson scored 17 points to pace Stanford (26-10), while Erica McCall tallied a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Amber Orrange collected another 12 points and dished out six assists in the defeat.

The top-seeded Irish cruised to a 42-31 halftime lead over the Cardinal, and only continued to pile on to that advantage throughout the second period.

Notre Dame made a perfect 13-of-13 from the free-throw line, and forced the Cardinal to turn the ball over 14 times in the win.
