Milan, Italy – Inter Milan moved to offset the departure of midfielder Sulley Muntari with three new signings Tuesday.
Colombian striker Fredy Guarin, Italian midfielder Angelo Palombo, and Brazilian defender Juan have all joined the San Siro club ahead of the transfer deadline.
Guarin joins Inter on loan for the remainder of the season from Portuguese champions Porto, where he made 63 appearances and scored 11 goals. Inter will have the option to purchase the striker at the conclusion of the deal.
Palombo joins from Sampdoria after refusing to leave the club despite being relegated to Serie B last season. According to Inter, the 30-year-old put pen to paper on a three-and-a-half year deal.
Juan, 20, brings versatility to the Nerazzurri with his ability to play either center back or left back. The Brazilian signed from Internacional to play at the San Siro until the summer of 2016.
