Indians DH Hafner placed on DL

Cleveland, OH – The Cleveland Indians placed designated disabled list Monday with a right foot strain.

In 82 games this season, Hafner is hitting .281 with 11 home runs and 49 RBI. The North Dakota native is in his 10th season in the majors, compiling a .281 average, 187 home runs and 652 RBI.

Right-handed pitcher Josh Judy has been recalled from Triple-A Columbus to fill the roster spot. In 45 games for the farm club this season, Judy has a 6-2 record with a 3.45 earned run average, 56 strikeouts and 22 walks.
