MIAMI – No matter what happens Sunday, neither the Boston Celtics nor the Miami Heat will have wrapped up the No. 2 seed for the Eastern Conference playoffs.
It may only seem that way.
The Celtics may have taken all three games from Miami this season, but in actuality, the teams are even. Both are 55-24 with three games left, the first of those coming on the Heat home floor against one another Sunday afternoon.
Teams with a No. 2 seed are guaranteed home-court advantage for at least the first two playoff rounds. But for Miami, Sunday's game has more meaning — the Heat simply want to find a way to beat the Celtics for the first time all year.
