Hull, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Hull City will be without defender Michael Dawson for the next five weeks after he suffered a hamstring tear in his team's 2-0 defeat to Chelsea last weekend.

The 31-year-old has already missed one month of action due to an ankle problem, and he will now take no part in Hull's busy festive period, which sees the Tigers played four games in the span of 13 days at the end of the month.

Hull is currently second from the bottom in the Premier League table and two points from safety, and the absence of Dawson in defense won't help.

The England international has started 11 games in the league for Hull, which is also without key players Robert Snodgrass and Mohamed Diame through injury.
