Sochi, Russia (SportsNetwork.com) - The Netherlands continued its quest for another speedskating gold at the Sochi Olympics Friday, securing a spot in Saturday's gold medal race in the men's team pursuit.

The Dutch trio of Jan Blokhuijsen, Sven Kramer and Koen Verweij bested France by nearly 10 seconds in the quarterfinals before nearly lapping Poland en route to an easy semifinal victory at Adler Arena.

The Netherlands has won four of the five golds awarded in men's speedskating in Sochi so far and will look to add another on Saturday when it takes on Korea in the final.

Korea claimed its spot in the gold medal race by edging defending Olympic champion Canada in the first semifinal.

Denny Morrison, who already has a silver and bronze medal in Sochi, got the Canadians out to an early lead, but Joo Hyong Jun, Kim Cheol Min and Lee Seung Hoon battled back and pulled away late to send Korea into Saturday's final.

Before the Netherlands and Korea battle for gold, Canada and Poland will square off to decide the bronze medal winner on Saturday.
