Ducks trade for F Lombardi

The Anaheim Ducks added some offensive depth at Wednesday's trade deadline, acquiring veteran forward Matthew Lombardi from Phoenix.

Lombardi, who has 101 goals over 529 NHL games, was picked up by the Ducks in exchange for forward Brandon McMillan, a 23-year-old veteran of 91 NHL contests.

The 31-year-old Lombardi was a third-round pick by Calgary in 2002 and has played for the Flames, Phoenix, Nashville and Toronto during his nine NHL seasons. He has recorded 262 points and had a career-best 53 points with Phoenix during the 2009-10 campaign.

Lombardi had four goals and four assists in 21 games with the Coyotes this season.

McMillan, a third-round pick by Anaheim in 2008, had 11 goals in 60 games for the Ducks as a rookie in 2010-11, but he hasn't put the puck in the net while playing 31 games for Anaheim over the last two seasons.
