Los Angeles Galaxy forward Landon Donovan was named to his 13th straight MLS All-Star team on Friday after commissioner Don Garber selected Donovan to replace the injured Robbie Keane.

Donovan was initially left off the roster that will face Italian side AS Roma on Wednesday in the 2013 MLS All-Star Game. However, Keane sustained a left hip flexor strain in the Galaxy's match against the Portland Timbers on July 13 and will be unavailable for Wednesday's contest.

"Landon (Donovan) is a great addition to the MLS All-Star team. Obviously his form is fantastic right now and his impact and representation of Major League Soccer throughout his career is immeasurable," All-Star head coach Peter Vermes said.

Donovan has tallied three goals with six assists in 13 games for the Galaxy this season after taking an extended offseason.

He will represent the United States in the Gold Cup final against Panama on Sunday before joining up with the All-Star team in Kansas City.
