Diamondbacks agree to terms with INF Bloomquist
Phoenix, AZ – The Arizona Diamondbacks agreed to terms with year contract Wednesday.
Bloomquist appeared in 97 games for Arizona last season and had a .266 average with 10 doubles, 26 RBI, 20 stolen bases and 44 runs scored.
He became the starting shortstop after a season-ending ankle injury to Stephen Drew in July and had a hit in 46 of his 57 starts.
Through a 10-year career with the Seattle Mariners, Kansas City Royals, Cincinnati Reds and Diamondbacks, Bloomquist has a .264 average with a .317 on-base percentage, 77 doubles, 17 home runs, 170 runs batted in, 124 stolen bases and 318 runs scored.
