DALLAS (Reuters) - Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo will be sidelined six-to-eight weeks after breaking his collarbone in 41-35 loss to the New York Giants, the NFL team said on Tuesday.
The three-time Pro Bowl quarterback will not require surgery, the Cowboys said in a statement.
Romo fractured his left clavicle when he was sacked by Giants linebacker Michael Boley during the second quarter of Monday's game.
Jon Kitna came on in relief of Romo and is expected to get the start when the Cowboys (1-5) host the Jacksonville Jaguars (3-4) on Sunday.
