DeMarcus Ware is admittedly obsessed with pass rushing.

The sack specialist for the Dallas Cowboys dreams about it. He works on it in hallways at the training camp hotel and on the field with coaches, defensive players and offensive linemen.

And he's about to be unleashed in a new defensive scheme that gives him simple marching orders: Get the quarterback.

Ware has 111 sacks, three shy of the team record set by Harvey Martin three decades ago.

He's switching to defensive end after eight seasons as an outside linebacker in the 3-4 defense. He says he's comfortable playing closer to the offensive line with his hand on the ground.

Ware should get his first real action of the season Friday night in Dallas' second preseason game at Oakland.
