Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Houston Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney left Sunday's season opener against the Washington Redskins in the first half with a knee injury.
The first overall pick in this year's draft, Clowney had made one tackle in the game before walking into the locker room under his own power near the end of the half.
He was not on the field when the second half started, and the Texans announced shortly after that he was out for the rest of the game.
The South Carolina product had offseason sports hernia surgery and also suffered a concussion during a joint scrimmage against the Denver Broncos during training camp.
