TEMPE, Ariz. – The Arizona Cardinals have signed both of their fourth-round picks, linebacker Alex Okafor and guard Earl Watford, to four-year contracts.
The moves mean Arizona has signed eight of its nine draft choices. Only first-round pick Jonathan Cooper, a guard out of North Carolina, remains.
Okafor led Texas with 12 1-2 sacks as a senior last season, ninth most in the country and most by a Longhorns player since 1984. He had 4 1-2 sacks and was defensive MVP in Texas' victory over Oregon State in the Alamo Bowl. Okafor was the 103rd selection in the draft.
Watford, the 116th pick overall, was a team captain last season and started the final 34 games of his college career at James Madison. He allowed one sack last season.
