St. Louis, MO – The St. Louis Cardinals have purchased the contract of pitcher Joe Kelly from Triple-A Memphis.
Kelly posted a 2-5 mark with 2.86 earned run average in 12 starts for Memphis this season. He will make his MLB debut on Sunday against the Indians.
The Cardinals also optioned catcher Steven Hill to Memphis and transferred pitcher Chris Carpenter to the 60-day disabled list.
