Buffalo Bills report for training camp facing injury concerns; LB Alonso out, LT Glenn ill

Buffalo Bills players are reporting for the start of training camp with a big hole to fill at linebacker, and a sudden question mark at left tackle.

General manager Doug Whaley is confident the Bills have enough depth to replace linebacker Kiko Alonso. The starter sustained a season-ending knee injury earlier this month.

Whaley, however, raised concerns regarding an illness that's sidelined starting tackle Cordy Glenn.

Without revealing the nature of the illness, Whaley says the team is awaiting test results to determine how much time Glenn might miss.

For now, replacing Alonso is the team's most pressing need once camp opens in suburban Rochester on Sunday.

Whaley says the initial plan is having a competition between rookie third-round pick Preston Brown and reserves Nigel Bradham and Ty Powell.
