Lake Buena Vista, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Braves released veteran pitcher Wandy Rodriguez from his minor-league deal on Friday.
Rodriguez, 36, had been battling for a spot in the Braves' rotation and posted a 3.13 ERA in 23 innings this spring.
The left-hander has compiled a 91-94 record with a 4.06 ERA in 258 career games, all but 10 as a starter, for Houston and Pittsburgh.
Atlanta also released catcher Jesus Flores and assigned pitcher Chien-Ming Wang to minor league camp.
