Blackburn, England – Blackburn added two players on the final day of the transfer window with the club securing the services of defender Scott Dann and striker Yakubu.
The 24-year-old Dann moves to Ewood Park on a four-year contract from Birmingham, which was relegated to the Championship last season.
Dann appeared in 50 games for Birmingham during his time with the club, and he will partner Chris Samba in the center of the Rovers back line.
Yakubu joins the club from Everton, where he featured in over 80 matches for the Toffees and scored 25 goals.
The 28-year-old has been capped 57 times by Nigeria and scored 21 goals for the Super Eagles.
Also on Wednesday, Blackburn released striker El Hadji Diouf after the Senegal international spent two seasons at Ewood Park.
