ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – Buffalo Bills coach Doug Marrone doesn't believe receiver Robert Woods will be able play at Pittsburgh this weekend because of a sore left ankle.
Marrone provided the update after the rookie missed practice Wednesday. Marrone was a little more optimistic about the chances of rookie receiver Marquise Goodwin's chances of playing after he missed practice with a strained hamstring.
Marrone said Goodwin was expected to return to practice on a limited basis on Thursday.
Both receivers were hurt in a 23-13 loss to Kansas City on Sunday.
Woods, a second-round pick, was hurt late in the third quarter, when he tumbled out of bounds attempting to make a catch. He has 26 catches for 349 yards and two touchdowns.
