St. Louis, MO – The Missouri Valley Football Conference on Wednesday named Indiana State running back Shakir Bell its offensive player of the year and Northern Iowa linebacker L.J. Fort its defensive player of the year.
Southern Illinois running back Jewel Hampton claimed the newcomer of the year award and South Dakota State quarterback Austin Sumner was named the freshman of the year.
North Dakota State's Craig Bohl was named coach of the year.
