LONDON – David Beckham will start a monthlong training stint with Tottenham on Tuesday after passing a physical for the Premier League club.
Despite talks stalling over a two-month loan from Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy, the midfielder and Spurs remain hopeful that a deal can be reached.
Beckham, who was fitted out in Spurs clothing after the medical examination, is scheduled to train with the club until Feb. 10.The Galaxy expect the former England captain back to prepare for the Major League Soccer season opener at the Seattle Sounders on March 15.
The 35-year-old Beckham is hoping to play for Tottenham to boost his chances of being recalled to England's national team.
