Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder David Beckham and Red Bull New York forward Thierry Henry highlighted Major League Soccer's Best XI team announced Thursday.

Beckham had 15 assists for the Galaxy, while Henry scored 14 goals for the Red Bulls, as the former European stars both enjoyed great seasons in MLS.

Beckham was one of four players selected from the Galaxy, who also had Landon Donovan, Todd Dunivant and MLS Defender of the Year Omar Gonzalez named to the squad, which honors the top players in the regular season.

Los Angeles won the Supporters' Shield for the best record during the regular season and plays in the MLS Cup final Nov. 20 against the Houston Dynamo, who had Brad Davis honored the Best XI.
