Liverpool, England – Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam could miss the rest of the season after injuring knee ligaments in his team's 3-2 defeat to QPR last week.
Adam joined Liverpool over the summer from Blackpool but has struggled to find top form having scored just two goals in 28 league appearances this season.
The 26-year-old now must decide whether or not to have surgery, which would bring his campaign to an end.
Liverpool is already without another central midfielder in Lucas Leiva for the rest of the season.
