49ers reportedly ship Mays to Bengals

The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly traded safety Taylor Mays to the Cincinnati Bengals for an undisclosed draft pick.

The Cincinnati Enquirer was one media source to report the deal, which figures to become official once Mays takes a physical Tuesday.

The newspaper reports Mays was on the trading block for more than two weeks after the 49ers emailed the other 31 teams that the 2010 second-round draft pick was available.

If Mays is dealt to the Bengals, he would be reunited with linebacker Rey Maualuga. The two went to school at Southern California.
