Santa Clara, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - The 49ers have activated wide receiver Michael Crabtree from the physically unable to perform list.

Crabtree was placed on the PUP list July 29 because of a foot injury it was feared could sideline him for up to six weeks.

The former No. 10 overall pick has missed almost all of training camp and the preseason with the injury and would have remained on the PUP list for the first six weeks of the regular season if he hadn't been taken off it before Week 1.

In his first two NFL seasons, Crabtree has caught 103 passes for 1,366 yards and eight touchdowns. He only played 11 games during his rookie season in 2009 because of a lengthy holdout. Last year, he hauled in 55 passes for 741 yards with six touchdowns in 16 games, including 15 starts.
