A man carrying a bomb has been arrested following a three-hour standoff at a bank in Watford.
Specialist teams from Hertfordshire Police, including firearms officers, were called to the Co-op Bank in Market Street at 10:18 a.m. this morning after reports the suspect was threatening to harm staff.
A cordon was set up around a large area near the building and police said the man was on his own.
He was arrested at around 1:20 p.m. following reports of several loud bangs at the scene.
The man, wearing a white t-shirt, was made to kneel on the ground in front of the bank with his arms in the air before he was led away to a police van.
