On an Monday Night Raw episode that was heavy with promo segments setting up SummerSlam - which is just 13 days away - newlyweds Rusev and Lana came to the ring to celebrate their recent wedding.
Rusev and Lana tied the knot on the beach in Malibu, California, but the crowd in Anaheim quickly showered the couple with boos. A very irritable Rusev broke the recurring Stone Cold Steve Austin "what?" chants by screaming "you respect my wife!" at the crowd.
After a slideshow of wedding photos (seriously), Roman Reigns interrupted and roasted Rusev and Lana, who he referred to as a "Bulgarian Sasquatch and a mail-order bride."
Rusev, outraged, had a short brawl with Reigns, but ended up knocking Lana into a huge cake that was set up on a table in the ring.
The end result? Rusev vs. Roman Reigns at SummerSlam for the United States Championship - a match no one could have predicted prior to Reigns' suspension.
