Chicago Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood was placed on the 15-day disabled list Friday because of right shoulder fatigue.

The move is retroactive to April 14.

Wood last pitched on April 13. In four games this season he has a record of 0-1 with an 11.57 earned run average, having allowed three runs in 2 1/3 innings.

Chicago filled the roster spot by recalling pitcher Scott Maine from Triple-A Iowa. Maine was 1-0 with one save and a 1.42 ERA in five relief appearances for Iowa.

The 27-year-old lefty has a 4.95 ERA in 20 big league games over the past two seasons for the Cubs.
