Over the past few years, all-time submission grappling great and MMA middleweight contender Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza has added some KO power to his arsenal of submissions. The Brazilian has knocked Derek Brunson and Yushin Okami out, and though the mat is still his domain, he clearly feels confident throwing heat on his feet as well.

Right now, Souza is readying to face fellow multiple threat grappler Yoel Romero on Dec. 12 in Las Vegas. The winner may very well get the next middleweight title shot.

A fight with lots of grappling exchanges between the Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt and the wrestling great Romero would certainly be fascinating. Fights start on the feet, however, and from the looks of a new Souza training camp video, "Jacare" will be looking for another knockout.

In the video, the 35-year-old shows that he's learned to use his educated jiu jitsu hips for turning punches over as he knocks several sparring partners out with body punches. Remember, those are big gloves they're wearing.

Souza's timing, accuracy and snap is all there, in sparring, creating the devastating force. Very impressive.

Now, we just have to wait and see if Romero releases video of him dropping training partners with flying crane kicks.
