Free agent forward Ruslan Fedotenko will play in his native Russia for the upcoming hockey season, his agent stated on Tuesday.

Fedotenko's representative, Allan Walsh, tweeted that the 34-year-old has agreed to a three-year contract worth $9 million with HC Donetsk of the Kontinental Hockey League.

A 12-year NHL veteran, Fedotenko spent the 2012-13 campaign with the Philadelphia Flyers and recorded four goals, nine assists and a plus-eight rating over 47 games. Over 863 career regular-season contests with five teams (Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, the New York Islanders, Pittsburgh, the New York Rangers), he amassed 173 goals and 193 assists.

Fedotenko was a member of two Stanley Cup champion teams, winning his first with the Lightning in 2004 and again with the Penguins in 2009. His most productive season came with Tampa Bay in 2005-06, when he compiled 26 goals and 41 points.
