Swansea, Wales – Swansea City has reached an agreement to bring Getafe striker Alvaro Vazquez to the Liberty Stadium on a season-long loan.
The 22-year-old Vazquez was a member of Spain's Under-21 side which captured the European championship this summer, and he tallied four goals in 25 games for Getafe last season in La Liga.
"Vasquez is a young player I know from his time at Espanyol and now Getafe," Swansea manager Michael Laudrup said.
"He is a little different to the strikers we have and has the characteristics we have been looking for. He will give us a different option."
