Reeves Nelson has been suspended indefinitely for "conduct unbecoming a member of the UCLA basketball team."

The reason behind the junior forward's suspension was not revealed by the school.

"This is a very disappointing situation for Reeves and our basketball program," said UCLA head coach Ben Howland. "We have a high standard and code of conduct that our student-athletes are expected to adhere to and Reeves has fallen short of our expectations."

Nelson was the Bruins' leading scorer and rebounder last season, averaging 13.9 points and 9.1 rebounds per contest. He netted 13 points and grabbed eight boards in a season-opening loss to Loyola Marymount last Friday.
