Portland Trail Blazers forward LaMarcus Aldridge left Tuesday's contest against the Washington Wizards with a left ankle sprain.

Less than two minutes into the first quarter, Aldridge sank a fadeaway jumper from the right elbow, but rolled his left ankle as he made his landing.

He immediately fell to the floor and was looked at by team trainers before being helped into the locker room, where x-rays were negative.

Aldridge, who is Portland's leading scorer, averages 23.3 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Blazers.
