(Reuters) - The Tennessee Titans suffered a major blow on Monday when top receiver Kenny Britt was ruled out for the rest of the National Football League (NFL) season with knee ligament damage.

The first-round draft pick in 2009 was off to an excellent start to the 2011 NFL season with 289 receiving yards and three touchdowns before suffering the injury in the second quarter of a 17-14 win over Denver when he tried to turn upfield.

The Titans have just four fit receivers and Munchak said the team is now evaluating players for that position.
