Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) - Jeff Teague scored 28 points and the Atlanta Hawks held off the Washington Wizards, 106-102, on Tuesday.

Paul Millsap added 17 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks, who have won two in a row. Mike Scott had 17 points and seven rebounds off the bench.

"It's a big win for us," said Teague. "We just came out and competed tonight."

John Wall ended with 21 points and 13 assists for the Wizards, who had a two- game winning streak snapped. Paul Pierce and Bradley Beal tallied 14 and 13 points, respectively, while Marcin Gortat had 12 points and 11 boards.

"I'm so upset at myself. I'm never seen myself turn the ball over that many times," said Beal, who turned the ball over seven times. "I think everybody wants to just try to force it there and get it there and try to make a play, and sometimes it just doesn't fall in our favor, and it's a domino effect."

Scott and Shelvin Mack scored Atlanta's first 16 points of the final period, giving the Hawks an 84-75 lead with 6:21 left. Scott ended with 12 points in the fourth.

The Wizards hit a series of 3-pointers in the final minute to make the final score close.

The Hawks led by as many as 10 in the first half and took a 41-39 lead into the locker room.

Atlanta held a 68-67 edge following a tight third quarter that featured seven lead changes and four ties.
