Marrakech, Morocco (SportsNetwork.com) - Fourth-seeded Ukrainian Elina Svitolina captured her third WTA title by beating Hungarian Timea Babos 7-5, 7-6 (7-3) in the Grand Prix SAR final on Saturday.
The 20-year-old Svitolina fired nine aces and saved eight of the 11 break points she faced.
Svitolina won the Baku Cup in 2013 and successfully defended the title the following year.
It was the second career final for Babos, who turns 22 later this month. She won the title at the Monterrey Open in 2012.
