John Parry has been selected to lead the person crew of game officials for Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday.

Parry, who will serve as referee, has 12 seasons of NFL officiating experience and has worked nine playoff games in his career. He was side judge for Super Bowl XLI in February 2007.

Joining Parry will be Carl Paganelli (umpire), Tom Stabile (head linesman), Gary Arthur (line judge), Gary Cavaletto (field judge), Laird Hayes (side judge) and Tony Steratore (back judge).

The crew has a combined 94 years of NFL officiating experience and 69 playoff game assignments.

Under the NFL officiating program's evaluation system, the highest-rated officials at each position with the appropriate experience earn the right to work the Super Bowl. Super Bowl officials must have five years of NFL experience and previous playoff assignments.

Additionally, Larry Nemmers is the replay assistant for Sunday's championship contest, while Lou Nazzaro has been named video operator.
